Our Weekly Meetings

Solid Ground meets every Monday evening starting 12 January 2026. Our sessions are designed for people who feel overwhelmed in busy or clinical settings. You don’t need to speak or share anything before you’re ready. Just come in, relax and take your time.

Two types of Mondays

We alternate each week, but at the moment only Sharing Weeks are running.
The Solid Ground Programme is being built and will be introduced once it is ready.

Here is how the structure will work:

Sharing Week
A quiet, supportive space where you can talk if you want to, or sit and listen. There is no cross-talk, no pressure and no expectation to explain your past. You can simply be.

Programme Week (Coming Soon)
A guided session based on the Solid Ground programme. These sessions will focus on grounding, emotional steadiness, boundaries and rebuilding confidence at a manageable pace. More information will be added once the programme is complete.

Each session includes a short reading that sets the tone for the evening. These readings are added to the website on Tuesdays.

Who comes to our meetings

People come to Solid Ground for many reasons, including:

  • anxiety, overwhelm or long-term stress

  • burnout or emotional exhaustion

  • early recovery or rebuilding routine

  • growing up around alcohol or drug misuse

  • chaotic or unpredictable childhood homes

  • people-pleasing and shutdown responses

  • feeling out of place in traditional services

  • carrying responsibility for others for too long

You don’t need a diagnosis or referral. If you feel you need somewhere steady, that’s enough.

What to expect on arrival

  • The space is calm, quiet and low-pressure

  • You can sit anywhere you feel comfortable

  • You will never be put on the spot

  • You can speak, stay silent, or step out for a breather

  • There is no advice-giving or judgment

  • Everything shared stays in the room

Solid Ground is a place to slow down and find a bit of calm after carrying too much for too long.

When and Where

If it’s your first time

It’s normal to feel unsure or nervous. Many of our members felt the same on their first night. You’re welcome to come in, sit near the door, stay silent the whole time, or leave early if you need to. There is no wrong way.

If you’d like to ask anything before coming, you can contact us at any time.
